This post is my Week 60 Covid Report which covers data collected between the dates of May 3 and May 9th. As shown, in the table below, Texas "Statewide" % of those fully vaccinated is 37%. This result varies depending on whether you are in the Panhandle where 1-in-3 have had all their doses (32.2%) to the Border which should be at 50% in one to two weeks (47.5%). For those of us in North, Central, or Gulf Coast - we are between 36 and 37%.
Last week, an Austin colleague objected to my table because numbers did not agree with what the city was putting out (Compare Travis County with Central Texas: 45% vs. 36%) . And, both he and I were correct - the question is: do you only come in contact with people in your county of residence, or do your activities include places that draw from a wider geography. As workplaces and shopping centers open up and prepare for the end-of-month holidays after a solid Mother's Day Weekend, it is a reasonable question to consider.
